As a graphic design student, we are continually encouraged to practice sustainable design practices within our work. Looking at the big picture, it dawned on me that designers begin the process of sustainability in many cases- how much packaging is wasted, what new products are designed to be manufactured, and how much resources are used in the process. With all this talk about going “green,” I felt I really wanted to learn more about living environmentally friendly.
I believe many of us think about driving hybrids as a main resolution to help clean our earth. Though it is a huge way one could help the environment, I’ve been researching and there are way more little changes we can all make that would add up in a positive way. But, back to the hybrid businesss… I was reading up on some different models along with electronic cars planned to be out on the market, hopefully all over our roads, in a few years. I mean, as much as I love being outdoors, I enjoy the convenience of my car immensely. I think lots of past hybrid models out there look real wimpy (like the Prius), but I found this review on the 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid that has received many good reviews. Makes me really consider choosing a hybrid when buying a new car in the future.
